Softball Game Preview: Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs vs. Indio Rajahs

For the second straight game, Coachella Valley will face off against Indio. Coachella Valley will take on Indio at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Coachella Valley fell victim to Indio and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Rajahs, falling 12-0. The Mighty Arabs haven't had much luck with the Rajahs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

For Indio's part, the result came thanks to Alyssa Perez's shutout, as she gave up just two hits. Perez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Audra Higgins, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Clover Cordova, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

With the victory, Indio broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-9. As for Coachella Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
