Baseball Recap: Claremont Finds Home Field Redemption Against Glendora

There's no place like home for Claremont, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Glendora Tartans 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Wolfpack: when they faced off against the Tartans last Tuesday, they had to take a 5-2 defeat.

Thomas Plotkin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Claremont is 4-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-6-1 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ramzey Farah, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Luke Porras was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Claremont hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glendora struck out seven times.

The win got Claremont back to even at 8-8-1. As for Glendora, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Claremont will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
