Opposing passers better start keeping an eye on Tyler Wells: he recorded his first sack on Friday and we're guessing he's looking for more. He also made three total tackles (1.0 for loss) as Pieper fell to Smithson Valley 27-17. We hope Wells' good performance is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.

Wells and Pieper will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Seguin at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
