Baseball Recap: Chase County Takes a Loss

If Chase County was riding high fresh off their 13-5 takedown of Olpe on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 13-5.

Chase County has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Olpe, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Chase County will face off against West Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Olpe, they will venture away from home to square off against Marais des Cygnes Valley on Thursday.
