Baseball Game Preview: Green City Gophers vs. Schuyler County Rams

The Green City Gophers will head out on the road to challenge the Schuyler County Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Green City is looking for their season's first victory.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Green City's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Brashear, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, while it was Schuyler County who put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, it was Marceline who put up more. The Rams came up short against the Tigers, falling 10-1. The matchup marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Green City's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Schuyler County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Green City skirted past Schuyler County 6-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Gophers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
