Baseball Recap: Vista del Lago Comes Up Short

Vista del Lago lost against Rancho Verde last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Vista del Lago took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rancho Verde. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alec Bostrom made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Rocky Mendoza was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Vista del Lago's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Rancho Verde, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vista del Lago will face off against Redlands East Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rancho Verde, they will take on Canyon Springs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
