Soccer Recap: Galena Takes a Loss

Galena lost to Platteville two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates lost 5-0 to the Hillmen. Galena have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Galena's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Platteville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1-1.

Galena didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Richland Center on the 4th. As for Platteville, they will face off against Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Platteville will be up against Monroe's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.4 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
