South Tahoe is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Truckee 2-1. Winning may never get old, but South Tahoe sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ruby Hackett was the driving force of South Tahoe's attack as she scored both of South Tahoe's goals, bringing her season total up to seven goals.

Meanwhile, North Tahoe is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Elko. The Lakers' defense stepped up to hand the Indians a 1-0 shutout.

North Tahoe's win bumped their record up to 16-3-1. As for South Tahoe, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3-3.

Everything went South Tahoe's way against North Tahoe in their previous matchup last Thursday, as South Tahoe made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
