Adams Central extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 8-14. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Kearney Catholic Stars 15-13. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Joshlyn Konen was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Lucy Svoboda also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Adams Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.6.
