After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Merino, Sedgwick County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Holyoke Dragons with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17, 26-24.

Lainee Nein paced Sedgwick County's offense, picking up nine kills. Nein got some help from Ryen Carlson and her 14 assists. Carlson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Sedgwick County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Holyoke, their loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sedgwick County will challenge rival Akron at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Holyoke is set to square off against their familiar foe Wiggins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
