Morning Star Academy strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Galesburg Christian Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

Morning Star Academy never let Galesburg Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-23.

Kaitlyn Amman paced Morning Star Academy's offense, picking up 17 kills. Amman got some help from Angelina Kobernat and her 20 assists. Maddie Bohonek controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Morning Star Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Galesburg Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6-1.

Coincidentally, Morning Star Academy and Galesburg Christian will both be playing Quad Cities Christian the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Lions will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
