Baseball Recap: South Sevier Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

South Sevier won the last time they faced Duchesne and things went their way on Friday too. The South Sevier Rams were the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over the Duchesne Eagles. Considering the Rams have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bigs Northrup spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, South Sevier let Peyton Ingram and Jaggar Redd run wild. Ingram scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Redd scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Redd has posted since back in March of 2024. Brace Brindley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

South Sevier kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Duchesne only managed four hits.

South Sevier's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Duchesne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

South Sevier wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-1 victory against Manti on the 15th. As for Duchesne, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-7 win against Millard on the 15th.
