Homer won the last time they faced Winnebago and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights came out on top against the Indians by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Homer took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-15.

Chayce Abts paced Homer's offense, picking up nine kills. Abts got some help from Madi Roeber and her 18 assists. Janessa Overgaard controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Homer's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Winnebago, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Coincidentally, Homer and Winnebago will both be playing Wakefield the next time they take the court. The Knights will host the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
