Softball Recap: Mount Everett Regional Takes a Loss

Mount Everett Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 22-6 to the Smith Vo-Tech Vikings. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2021.

Mount Everett Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Roskidany, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another was Fiona Pollock, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Mount Everett Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Smith Vo-Tech, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Everett Regional will take on Housatonic-Lakeview at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smith Vo-Tech, they will head out to take on Gateway Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
