A Season-Best Effort from Braeden Reifenrath Leads Cedar Catholic over Ponca

On Friday, Cedar Catholic got the W thanks in part to Braeden Reifenrath playing the best football he has all season. Reifenrath rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Cedar Catholic, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. They and Oakland-Craig are set to duel on Friday.

Battle Creek's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Mettler and Battle Creek will face off against Norfolk Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Aden Pochop's Big Game Leads Battle Creek over West Point-Beemer

Another Battle Creek player making an appearance on this list is Aden Pochop. He rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

For the season, Whitmire has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 101.6 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns.

Cedar Catholic picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Micah Cattau. Cattau turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

For the year, Cattau has run in 2 touchdowns while averaging 51.9 rushing yards per game.
