Baseball Recap: Elkhorn South Comes Up Short on the Road Against Papillion-Lavista South

Elkhorn South had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Papillion-LaVista South Titans by a score of 3-2. The Storm were not able to make up for their loss to the Titans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Elkhorn South got a good showing from Devin Meier, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Meier a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Elkhorn South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Cooper, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.
