Football Recap: Aiden Teyema Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat David Douglas + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Centennial, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 34-14 margin over the David Douglas Scots on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Centennial's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Teyema, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 37 yards and one TD. Those 80 rushing yards gave Teyema a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Jared Schneider, who rushed for 112 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Centennial was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, David Douglas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaxon Ketel rushed for 35 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 40 receiving yards.

Centennial's record is now 4-5. As for David Douglas, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Centennial nor the Scots have any future games scheduled.
