Baseball Game Preview: Roaring Fork Rams vs. Aspen Skiers

The Roaring Fork Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Aspen Skiers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Roaring Fork will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Roaring Fork proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past North Fork 7-6.

Aspen came out on top against Gunnison on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Skiers put the hurt on the Cowboys with a sharp 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Skiers, who have now won 13 games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Carter Kuhlman, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Mika, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Aspen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

Roaring Fork's record now sits at 10-11. As for Aspen, their record is now 16-3.

Everything went Roaring Fork's way against Aspen when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Roaring Fork made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Skiers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
