It was a good run, but Williamsburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the New Richmond Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since August 25th.

Williamsburg was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-15.

Eliza Smith paced Williamsburg's offense, picking up eight kills. Smith got some help from Emma Mulholland and her 15 assists. Peyton Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Williamsburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for New Richmond, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Williamsburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Richmond, they will head out on the road to face off against Western Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
