Football Game Preview: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Elizabeth Cardinals

Two dominant backs in Ritchie Bruno and Tristan McCray are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Brush Beetdiggers will challenge the Elizabeth Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brush is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Brush is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Delta with a sharp 28-7 victory. Considering the Beetdiggers have won seven games by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Elizabeth beat Pagosa Springs 44-38 on Saturday.

Brush better keep an eye on Griffin Widhalm. He was instrumental in Elizabeth's win, rushing for 119 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Andrew Martinez was another major influence, as he rushed for 53 yards and ran in a TD.

Elizabeth was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.

Brush's record now sits at 10-0. As for Elizabeth, their record is now 8-2.
