Roosevelt barely beat Garden City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Cougars on Saturday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Connor Bedo looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Roosevelt let Peyton Webster and Jadn' McGowen run wild. Webster scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while McGowen scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Sobush, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garden City only posted an OBP of .357.
