Baseball Game Preview: Roosevelt Bears vs. Allen Park Jaguars

Roosevelt hasn't had much luck against Allen Park recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, Roosevelt didn't have quite enough to beat Flat Rock and fell 7-5.

Roosevelt got a good showing from Ethan Ivity, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Ivity a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

At the plate, Roosevelt saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadn' McGowen, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Another was Peyton Webster, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Allen Park waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Wolves.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Allen Park, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5-1.

Roosevelt skirted past Allen Park 4-2 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
