Volleyball Recap: McCook Bison vs. Standing Bear Grizzlies

If McCook was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hastings last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bison lost 3-0 to the Standing Bear Grizzlies on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-15.

Jaylea Walgren paced McCook's offense, picking up seven kills. Walgren got some help from Karstyn Porter and her 19 assists. Porter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bailee Foster, each putting up two.

Standing Bear found their leader in sophomore Reese Pedersen, who had 14 digs and four aces. Pedersen has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played. Olivia Donner also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
