Volleyball Recap: Dover Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Anna Self and Early Jackson

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Conway Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Dover had strong showings from Early Jackson, who had 12 digs and one assist, and Anna Self, who had 14 kills and five digs. Self is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had nine or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Conway Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Dover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Morrilton on the 4th. As for Conway Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Paris on the 4th.
