Baseball Recap: Litchfield Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Litchfield's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They never let the Calvary Saints get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Purple Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Kenny Traylor, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Calvary off the board. Traylor has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mathew Bywater was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Titan Hires, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Litchfield is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Litchfield has already played their next game, a 10-2 defeat against Gillespie on the 8th. Calvary has also already played their next matchup (against Tri-City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
