Menendez won the last time they faced Raines and things went their way on Friday too. The Menendez Falcons snuck past the Raines Vikings with a 42-38 win. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Leading Menendez to victory were Jakayla Newsome and Sophia Scibelli. Newsome posted 17 points along with five boards and three steals, while Scibelli dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Newsome has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Menendez's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. As for Raines, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Menendez won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Impact Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Scibelli and Lavin Savage. As for Raines, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Joshua Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
