Baseball Game Preview: Tioga Indians vs. DeRidder Dragons

Tioga is 9-1 against DeRidder since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Indians will host the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. Tioga's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so DeRidder's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Tioga is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Holy Savior Menard just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 10-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, DeRidder waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Rebels 16-6.

Tioga's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for DeRidder, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Tioga beat DeRidder 3-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
