Spencer Cain leads a balanced attack to beat Providence Christian Academy

Recap: Tome Titans vs. Providence Christian Academy Griffins

The Tome Titans can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Providence Christian Academy 64-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Tome's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Spencer Cain, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Cain hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Griffith, who scored 13 points along with four steals.

Tome's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Providence Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Tome's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Fellowship of Christian Athletes at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Providence Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Perry Hall Christian at 4:45 p.m. on January 25th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kaheem Griffin and Bryce Unruh.
