Volleyball Recap: Heritage Hawks vs. Blue Ridge Knights
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Heritage had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Blue Ridge Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in September.
Heritage's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Blue Ridge to exactly 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18.
Despite the defeat, Blue Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kelly Weiss had 15 digs and two aces. Cloey Masset was another key player, getting 17 digs.
Heritage's win bumped their record up to 19-16-1. As for Blue Ridge, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-27.
Heritage has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Judah Christian on the 30th. Blue Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
