Faith Christian is a perfect 10-0 against Pathway Christian since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Carson Bivins was his usual excellent self, shooting 44% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to six steals and five assists. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January. Logan Baker was another key player, putting up ten points along with five rebounds and five blocks.
Faith Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Pathway Christian played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Quad Cities Christian 64-22. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-4.
Faith Christian will have to contain Denver Nelson as he made an impact in Pathway Christian's last game. He put up 11 points. Nelson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Luke Brokaw, who earned three points and six boards.
Pathway Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Faith Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Everything came up roses for Faith Christian against Pathway Christian when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 55-19 victory. In that matchup, the Falcons amassed a halftime lead of 41-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
