Football Recap: East Ridge Starts Season with Victory Against South Lake

East Ridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the South Lake Eagles 45-0.

Kourtnei Locke had a dynamite game for East Ridge, picking up 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

East Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Nolani Hernandez, Astrid Vargas, Shenoa Zayas-Nigaglioni, and Grace Roman picked up one apiece.

Coincidentally, East Ridge and South Lake will both be playing Tavares the next time they take the field. East Ridge will head out to face Tavares at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while South Lake will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 25th.
