It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Stevens Point had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Hortonville Polar Bears by a score of 10-5. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Callie Diekhus made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Stevens Point let Sophia Abundiz and Addi Peskie run wild.
