Basketball Recap: St. Andrew's Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

St. Andrew had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins with a sharp 53-29 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 24 points or more this season.

Zayden Edwards was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine assists. Edwards is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Miles Cummings was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

St. Andrew's pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.7 points. As for Hilton Head Prep, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

St. Andrew's will face off against Long County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hilton Head Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Beaufort Academy at 6:15 p.m. Hilton Head Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.
