Basketball Recap: Stevens Drops Season-High Score on Ray

Stevens's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-31 victory over the Ray Texans. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Stevens had a senior duo take command as Andra Stokes posted 16 points and six steals and Alyssia Murphy shot 46% from the field to rack up 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Stokes' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddilyn Thomas, who scored two points and eight boards.

Stevens smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Stevens' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Ray, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Stevens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-27 defeat against The Colony on the 14th. Ray has also already played their next matchup (against Leander), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
