Basketball Recap: Deshler Takes a Loss

Deshler was the 40-35 winner over Kenesaw when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Deshler Dragons were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 33-32 to the Kenesaw Blue Devils. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Jorja Uden, who posted nine points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in November of 2023. Sophia Schukei was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

Deshler's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8. As for Kenesaw, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Deshler will be taking part in a tournament against Red Cloud at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Cloud has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Kenesaw, they will take on Blue Hill in a tournament on Tuesday.
