Basketball Recap: Kiski School Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Kiski School challenged Springdale Prep on Saturday. The Cougars took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Bol Thet was his usual excellent self, shooting 56% from the field en route to 22 points and eight boards for Springdale Prep. Those 22 points gave Thet a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Sagba, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Kiski School's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Springdale Prep, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Kiski School will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on George School on January 10, 2026. As for Springdale Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-62 loss against Peddie on the 23rd.
