Basketball Recap: Christian Academy Skates Past Jeffersontown with Ease

Christian Academy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Jeffersontown Chargers 61-29. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.

Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Leah Stevens out in front who went 10 of 19 on her way to 26 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. With that strong performance, Stevens is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Another player making a difference was Alexus Bryant, who went 5 for 8 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Jeffersontown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Henryville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jeffersontown will take on Louisville Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
