Soccer Game Preview: Arroyo Valley vs. Notre Dame

The Arroyo Valley Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Notre Dame Titans at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arroyo Valley has four straight wins, Notre Dame has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Arroyo Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Eisenhower with a sharp 14-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Hawks have won 12 contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Notre Dame's offense. They lost 4-0 to Rim of the World on Friday.

Arroyo Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 69 goals over those 14 games. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-3.

Everything went Arroyo Valley's way against Notre Dame when the teams last played last Friday, as Arroyo Valley made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arroyo Valley since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
