Liberty posted their closest win since April 29, 2025 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Heritage Patriots, sneaking past 6-5. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Keoni Kaanehe looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chayce Formosa, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Sean Kelly was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4-1.

Coming up, Liberty will square off against Redwood at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Giants will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to square off against Christopher at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
