Volleyball Recap: Liberty Ranch Takes a Loss

If Liberty Ranch was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Argonaut on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks came up short against the El Dorado Cougars on Thursday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-11.

Haley Smith paced Liberty Ranch's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Gabriela Garcia and her 11 assists.

El Dorado can attribute much of their success to Hailey Kroeker, who had nine digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Kroeker a new career-high.

Liberty Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for El Dorado, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Liberty Ranch has already played their next matchup (against Tournament Team), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for El Dorado, they will head out to square off against Bradshaw Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
