Carlson came out on top against Erie-Mason on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Marauders blew past the Eagles 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Marauders, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Carlson let Brady Wilkins and Matthew MacBride run wild. Wilkins went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI, while MacBride got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Wilkins a new career-high. Connor Rankin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Carlson's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for Erie-Mason, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Carlson will face off against Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Marauders are facing the Railsplitters at the right time seeing as the Railsplitters are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Erie-Mason, they will take on Whiteford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
