Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short

Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 54-41 to the Marshall Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Aces of the 54-53 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Marshall, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Carmel will be playing at home against Evansville Day at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshall, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tolono Unity at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
