Basketball Recap: Stephenson Takes a Loss

Stephenson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Parkview Panthers, falling 70-40. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.

Despite the loss, Stephenson still got an impressive performance from Antonio King, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 16 points and eight boards. King has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Onyx Stallings-Brown, who posted six points.

Stephenson's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Parkview, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Stephenson and Parkview will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Jaguars see the court they'll take on Miller Grove at 4:30 p.m. on the 6th. As for Parkview, their break will end when they face Duluth at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
