Pinecrest won the last time they faced Purnell Swett and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rams. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

While Pinecrest won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22, 25-16.

Carly Stayskal paced Pinecrest's offense, picking up 11 kills. Stayskal got some help from Lawson Barrett and her 13 assists. Sophia Bonecutter controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The win got Pinecrest back to even at 4-4. As for Purnell Swett, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Pinecrest and Purnell Swett will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Patriots are set to square off against their familiar foe Jack Britt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Purnell Swett will challenge rival Terry Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
