Volleyball Recap: Chestnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Chestnut Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Central Cambria Red Devils, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-4, 25-15.

Central Cambria was led to victory by Riley Kauffman and Rowan Ruddek. Kauffman had 29 assists and three digs, while Ruddek had ten digs. Kauffman has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

Chestnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-18-5. As for Central Cambria, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4-1 record this season.

Chestnut Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bishop McCort on the 13th. Central Cambria has also already played their next contest (against Greater Johnstown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
