Football Recap: Centralia Tigers vs. R.A. Long Lumberjacks
Centralia fought the good fight in their overtime match against R.A. Long on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 21-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the R.A. Long Lumberjacks. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
R.A. Long was led to victory by Jaxson Rivenes and Tramayne Jenkins. Rivenes rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns, while Jenkins picked up 122 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Jenkins has posted since back in September of 2023.
Centralia's loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for R.A. Long, the win snapped their losing streak at nine games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-1 record.
Centralia will challenge Foster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for R.A. Long, they will head out to face off against Hudson's Bay at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are at an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2014, but likely not for long.
