Elyria hadn't done well against Steele recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Pioneers walked away with a 45-35 victory over the Comets. This was a revenge game for the Pioneers: when they faced off against the Comets back in January, they had to take a 55-30 loss.

Elyria's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-12 and their overall record up to 3-16. As for Steele, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
