Football Game Preview: Oakville Acorns vs. Neah Bay Red Devils + How To Watch

The Oakville Acorns will face off against the Neah Bay Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakville hasn't scored more than 12 points for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Oakville is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Naselle on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Acorns were outmatched by the Comets and fell 46-12. The Acorns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-6.

Meanwhile, Neah Bay waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They really took it to the Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-12 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won four contests by 40 points or more so far this season.

Neah Bay's win came from a few key players Oakville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jontae Akin, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also caught one score. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass. Kane Greene was another key player, gaining 117 total yards.

Neah Bay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 199 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
