Preview: Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars vs. Beech Buccaneers
The Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Beech Buccaneers at 1:00 p.m. on December 30th. Beech took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Middle Tennessee Christian, who comes in off a win.
Middle Tennessee Christian meant business on Thursday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Eagles squad that has allowed just 27.63 points per contest. Middle Tennessee Christian claimed a resounding 67-38 win over East Nashville Magnet on the road. The victory was just what Middle Tennessee Christian needed coming off of a 63-34 loss in their prior matchup.
Middle Tennessee Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison Graham out in front who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 0 assists. Those 31 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna clay Shirley, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Beech unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 51-44 to Cleveland.
Middle Tennessee Christian now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Beech, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
