Football Game Preview: Largo Lions vs. Surrattsville Hornets + How To Watch

The Largo Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Surrattsville Hornets at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Surrattsville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Largo, who comes in off a win.

Surrattsville better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Largo's game on Friday is any indication, that's when Largo really gets things going. The Lions really took it to Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-28 victory. Considering the Lions have won three contests by more than 32 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Tymond Foxx had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 226 yards and five scores. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 120.3 rushing yards per game. Nijel Trice was in the mix too, providing Largo with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Largo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Largo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Trice picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Surrattsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to Fairmont Heights at home by a 20-2 margin.

Surrattsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Largo, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4.

Largo was able to grind out a solid victory over Surrattsville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 25-12. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
